Set of 2 embroidered napkins "Cross Stitch"

DKK 650.00

The KHRESTYK collection is inspired by the oldest type of embroidery popular all over the world. In Ukrainian “khrestyk” means “a cross stitch”.

The napkins depict the Slavic pagan gods: Makosh and Yarilo, as well as an ornament in the form of birds and flowers.

Mokosh is the ancestral goddess, mother, fortune teller, assistant to women in crafts (primarily spinning and weaving) and during childbirth. And Yarilo embodied the awakening of Nature, the male vigor, the arrival of spring, and was highly revered by farmers who considered him their patron saint.

The napkins are two-layered and made of dense Ukrainian hemp can be used as a table set and will be a great gift for family and friends.
